Diversity

We live in a diverse society.

Recognizing and shaping this diversity is a crucial challenge in a central societal domain. It involves interconnecting various categories of distinction such as gender, origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, social class, or lifestyle. Only by doing so can a society create the best possible conditions for the development of diverse lives.

Pluralistic societies must be evaluated based on how they organize their diversity to dismantle ingrained societal discrimination structures. Acknowledging plurality also entails taking discrimination issues seriously and addressing structural disadvantages. In this way, lines of difference can indeed lead to inclusion. To achieve this, we must focus on the socio-political dimension and adopt diverse perspectives.

The task at hand is to organize the existing societal diversity in a way that explores opportunities and utilizes potentials – for the benefit of individuals, the advancement of business, and societal cohesion.
